Our exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see all of the prints from the ground breaking suite. First published in 1946, Jazz shows Matisse’s mastery of the “cut out“. Ablaze with vibrant colours the majority of images represent trapeze, knife throwers, cowboy and various other circus acts.
Alongside the Jazz suite we are also exhibiting prints published in the 1940’s from his masterpiece “Themes et Variations” and a rare edition of full colour reproductions of his canvas work from 1939-1943 published by Editions Du Chene.
