Walter Sickert 31 May, 1830.
John Gilks
Sickert is seen as the link between Moderism and Impressionism, his influence can be seen in the work of such artists as Auerbach, Bacon and Freud.
Sickert ended his days in Bath and painted many pictures of the area, it has also been suggested that he was Jack the Ripper as he lived in Camden at the time of the grizzly murders and made numerous references to the events in his work .
