Raoul Dufy was born in Le Havre on June 3, 1877.
Painter, print maker, illustrator, designer of public spaces and furniture, Raoul Dufy was a multi facetted artist. Influenced by Matisse and the vivid colours used by the "Fauves" Dufy enjoyed great success and popularity durin his lifetime, his images of Nice and the Bay of Angels are still greatly admired to this day.
