Ed Paschke, b 22 June, 1937, Chicago.
John Gilks
Ed Pashcke was born in 1937 in Chicago where he studied fine art. Paschke's style can be linked to Pop Art but is quite unique, he used imagery of figures from the fringe of society using a garish pallet which add a sinister quality to the work. Geoff Koons was, for a period, his studio assistant. Paschke's work now hangs in many public collections including The Whitney, The Pompedou and The Walker collection.
